Tim McGraw and Friends
Curb

Please Curb Records, stop. Just stop. Tim McGraw‘s old record label is releasing another compilation album (and we know how much Tim loves those) titled, Tim McGraw & Friends, featuring eleven collaborations. The songs were taken from various other records with the closing track ‘It’s Your Love’ being the version from his 1997 Everywhere release.

I just don’t see the value in releasing this album, other than if they wish to confirm some people’s opinion of Curb Records. And is anyone else seeing the irony of Curb accusing Tim of releasing music that is “too old” but then putting previously released songs on here from years ago?

This record is the latest twist in a long-running legal battle between Curb and McGraw. I can only assume this is part of some legal strategy which we can’t understand as we are not privy to all the legal details of the case.

If you still feel the need, you can pre-order the album here.

Tim McGraw & Friends track list:

1. ‘Sail On’ – Tim McGraw & Lionel Richie
2. ‘Twisted’ – Tim McGraw & Colt Ford
3. ‘Owe Them More Than That’ – Tim McGraw & Kenny Rogers
4. ‘Me and Tennessee’ (from the motion picture Country Strong) – Tim McGraw & Gwyneth Paltrow
5. ‘Middle Age Crazy’ – Tim McGraw, Jerry Lee Lewis & Jon Brion
6. ‘Can’t Hurt a Man’ – Tim McGraw & Randy Travis
7. ‘Find Out Who Your Friends Are‘ – Tim McGraw & Tracy Lawrence
8. ‘Cold, Cold Heart’ – Tim McGraw & Tony Bennett
9. ‘Milk Cow Blues’ – Tim McGraw & Ray Benson
10. ‘Bring On the Rain’ – Tim McGraw & Jo Dee Messina
11. ‘It’s Your Love’ – Tim McGraw & Faith Hill
