If you follow Gary Allan on Twitter (@GaryAllan), you already know that he is having a wonderful time Down Under! Also enjoying his return to Australia are his loyal fans. They ensured Allan kicked off a tour last night that was sold out before it began.

Allan opened his tour at Enmore Theatre in Sydney, and he will also makes stops in Brisbane, Melbourne, and two country music festivals. Joining him on the sold out Australian trip are the Mavericks and Blackjack Billy.

“We have a strong fan base in Australia and they always make our time here quite enjoyable. It has been six years since our last tour, so I am psyched to be back. I enjoy the country, the wine, the surfing and of course, the amazing fans. They never fail to make me feel welcome, so I plan to keep coming back!” said Allan via a press release.

Further from the press release:
It’s an exciting time for Allan and who has turned up the heat touring internationally in support of his album SET YOU FREE. The lead single “Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)” rocketed to the top of the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart and was certified platinum by the RIAA. The buzz around the song helped Allan’s current album to sell over 106,000 copies its first week in stores, securing the #1 position on the Billboard 200 pop chart, a career first for the industry veteran. USA Today gave the album FOUR OUT OF FOUR STARS making the claim that “Allan is the outlaw whom country’s new wave dreams of being.”

Always moving forward, Allan is already in the studio recording new material for his next album, scheduled for release early next year.
