HOTlanta part 2

With some delay….
After the night before, everyone was hoping for a better show. What we got was the BEST show!!

The technical problems from last night had been taken care of and already during ‘Once In A Lifetime’ was it clear this was going to be a very different performance.

Keith was flying over the stage with more energy and passion than I had ever seen, the band was far more relaxed and the crowd got into it immediately. After the first song, the friend who I was watching it with and I just looked at each other and went “Dayum!!” :)

When the band members were introduced they each sang their ‘little tune’ again. Brian sang Journey’s ‘When the Lights Go Down in the City’, Jerry Flowers sang Brooks & Dunn’s ‘I Believe’, Chris Rodriguez sang Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get it On’ and Brad Rice sang John Anderson’s ‘Swinging’. For the first three Keith explained that in case the original artists do not give permission to use these tracks on the live DVD, he would introduce the boys again. The noise each time was deafening. The crowd loves this band! But after Brad’s fantastic segment, Keith just said “We’re keeping that”. :)

The new live DVD which was being shot over the last 3 nights of this tour, could really just be this night. It was a stellar performance from everyone, the sound was perfect, the lighting was perfect, the crowd was more than perfect.

From here on to Lexington, Kentucky for the very last night of this year long tour….

Some trivia: the guitars Keith gives away during ‘You Look Good in My Shirt’ cost $120 each. The yellow Gibson he then returns to the stage with costs $175000….
