Live from CMA Fest 2012: Laura Bell Bundy

Laura Bell Bundy is one of those performers whose show I will always try to catch at events like CMA Fest. It may not be the country music I usually listen to (though I do think her 2010 release, Achin’ and Shakin’, was underrated by critics), but she is just so wonderfully entertaining to watch that her performances are irresistible!

It was no different on Saturday, June 9, when she closed out the day on the Riverfront stage. Bundy interspersed her high-energy uptempo songs with a few pretty ballads, most notably ‘That’s What Angels Do,’ and got the whole place dancing to her hit ‘Giddy On Up.’ She took plenty of time to chat with the crowd, and has a reply for everything (as one guy who tried to impress her with some smart-ass remarks found out to his detriment!).

I once again had great fun watching her and recommend her show to anyone who enjoys watching a master entertainer do what she does best. Following her set, she stayed until every fan who wanted an autograph or picture had been seen to. A tremendous class act!

Keep an eye on www.laurabellbundy.com for upcoming tour dates.

Check out her performance of a new song, ahead of which she gave us all a little dance lesson. You’ll see what I mean about her being extremely entertaining to watch!
