After joining Average Joes Entertainment late last year, duo LoCash Cowboys is ready to release their debut album with the label. The self-titled disc was produced by Shannon Houchins, Noah Gordon, and Jeffrey Steele, and will be available June 18, 2013. The duo, Preston Brust and Chris Lucas, co-wrote ten of the twelve tracks, and also enlisted the talents of some of Nashville’s hottest writers including Jaron Boyer, Chris Janson, Steve Dean, Wil Nance, Chris Stapleton, Shane Minor, and Steele. The album’s calling card, ‘Chase a Little Love,’ is already available (here on iTunes). With a strong melody, plenty of charm, and a fresh production, the song is representative of the record which is a diverse collection covering the emotional spectrum.
A special treat on the album is ‘Independent Trucker,’ featuring the late, great, George Jones who shows off his playful side here on one of the last tracks he recorded.
“Country music really boils down to the power of the song,” explained Preston Brust via the press release. “We wanted to broaden our listeners, to reach the older crowd, the younger crowd, and the middle crowd. And we really tried to pick songs that were the best songs we could find to define LoCash. Hopefully we achieve that in this album.”
“It’s true. We’ve captured everything LoCash is about on this album. It’s all killer, no filler,” added Chris Lucas.
