Last night, at Nashville’s Loveless Barn, the nominees for the International Bluegrass Music Awards were announced. Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out lead with nine nominations in total. Alison Krauss & Union Station garnered eight nominations, and Blue Highway and The Boxcars were both nominated in seven categories.

The 2012 International Bluegrass Music Awards will be handed out at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium on Thursday, September 27, 2012. The awards are part of a wider celebration of all things bluegrass during the IBMA Business Conference and Bluegrass Fan Fest held in Nashville, September 24-30.
