Tom and Molly Bedell, owners of Bedell Guitars and the Two Old Hippies stores, have announced the first annual Celebration of Music event, to be held on July 11, 2012 in Nashville.

You can find all the details in the press release:

On Wednesday, July 11, the first annual “Celebration of Music” fundraiser will take place at Events on 3rd in Printers Alley, to help kick-off the Nashville Association of Music Merchandisers (NAMM) show happening downtown Nashville (July 12-14). The special event will be open to the public and feature a free buffet dinner, cash bar and a silent auction. There will also be special music performances by the Little Kids Rock Band, John Oates, Gary Morris, Drake White, Danielle Peck and The Nashville Alternators.

The silent auction will feature items such as handwritten and signed lyrics by Amy Grant and Vince Gill, an autographed Peter Frampton Hatch Show Print, a signed Fender Stratocaster from Madonna’s longtime guitarist Monte Pittman, an autographed Monday Night Football by Faith Hill, concert tickets and backstage passes to the a concert by legendary group, Alabama, and much more. Proceeds from the auction will fund the Two Old Hippies Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to support Little Kids Rock (LKR), a national nonprofit that transforms children’s lives by restoring music in public schools for economically disadvantaged students. The money raised will go toward reaching more students and schools in Music City. Since 2005, Little Kids Rock has donated more than a half-million dollars worth of instruments, resources and curricula to the Metro Nashville Public Schools, which currently serves more than 3,600 students.

“This is going to be a great night of fun and celebration,” said Tom Bedell, owner of Two Old Hippies and Bedell Guitars. “It’s all about music in Music City!”

Bedell Guitars is the official provider of guitars for Little Kids Rock and is working to expand funding and reach for the program. Founder Tom Bedell and his wife, Molly, also own Two Old Hippies, a guitar, apparel and gift store located in Aspen Colorado and The Gulch in Nashville.
