Country music tours are big business. The three finalists in the Billboard Touring Awards ‘Top Package’ category all represent the genre. Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw‘s Brothers of the Sun Tour, Jason Aldean‘s My Kinda Party Tour, and Taylor Swift‘s Speak Now Tour all made the final based on numbers reported to Boxscore from October 1, 2011, through September 30, 2012.
While established rock acts Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay, and Roger Waters drew the biggest crowds this year, the future looks good for country with Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum among the finalist for Breakthrough artists.
