That British folk rockers Mumford & Sons will finish 2013 with several new awards on their mantlepiece is not a crazy prediction. The already collected Grammy nominations and yesterday added three BRIT Awards nods. The quartet is nominated in the new Global Success category, which celebrates British artists international achievements, where they are pitted against Adele and One Direction. They are also up for British Group and the coveted British Album categories. There is more Americana success as southern soul-rock quartet Alabama Shakes finds themselves nominated for the International Group Award.
