At CRS 2013, a special edition of the legendary radio broadcast, Grand Ole Opry, was brought to the Convention Center. It seems a logical fit to make this part of the country radio industry conference and I hope it will continue next year. The evening was expertly, and with wonderful humor, run by host Vince Gill and announcer Bill Cody. Some of the biggest names in country music were scheduled to appear, and they were joined by surprise guest including Ashley Monroe, who performed her new single ‘Like a Rose’ with Gill, and Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio from the hit TV show Nashville. During the show we were treated to performances by Little Big Town, Dustin Lynch, Josh Turner, Greg Bates, Scotty McCreery, Darius Rucker, Kacey Musgraves, and the evening was closed by Brad Paisley.
