Whitney Duncan has inked a publishing deal with newly formed Given Music Publishing.
“Whitney is a proven and professional writer as well as a ‘Survivor,’ and I very much look forward to working with her,” said Given Music Publishing VP/GM Mike Sebastian via a press release. “She is a talented, gifted writer and a wonderful person, and she brings a lot to the Given Music Publishing team.”
Whitney herself added, “I couldn’t be more excited to be working with Mike and the Given team. I look forward to watching him grow this publishing company and all of the wonderful things to come. I am grateful for their belief in me.”
Already having established herself in the Nashville songwriters community, Duncan has been working with producer Paul Worley and Lady Antebellum‘s Dave Haywood, and is expected to release new music in 2014.

She holds several certificates from Berklee College of Music, and a certificate in Positive Psychology from UC Berkeley.
Her main influences are coffee, cats, and Alexander Hamilton.
