* The new Buck Owens biography was written based on voice recordings Owens made with the intent of turning them into a book. He never got the chance but author Randy Poe has now completed the task with the release of Buck ‘Em! The Autobiography of Buck Owens. [Billboard]
* U2 is returning to Island Records, the label that signed them in the late 1970s. Let’s hope their new album, due in March 2014, will also hark back to those days. [The Guardian]
* Jimi Hendrix’s old London apartment, at 23 Brook Street, will be turned into a museum. The space will be returned to how it was furnished when Hendrix lived there, and will display historic pieces of his life, work and, musical legacy. [NME]
* Website Saving Country Music names Matt Wood‘s ‘Deadman’s Blues’ as Best Song of 2013. If anyone out there hasn’t yet heard this song, go listen now! [Saving Country Music]
* Britney Spears and Justin Bieber both found out that their core fans are not the type of people who enjoy watching documentaries. I could have told them that before they spent all that money on them. [Vulture]
* And happy news to end on, mandolin maestro Chris Thile, of Punch Brothers, married actress Claire Coffee at Blackberry Farms in Tennessee. [Bluegrass Today]
