Hooray! Every now and then, songs which are good pieces of songwriting hit #1 on the Mediabase Country Singles Chart. It’s happened a few times recently, and I would start to feel spoiled were it not for the fact that this will all come to an end next week. But for now, let us celebrate Keith Urban‘s ‘You Gonna Fly,’ written by Chris Lucas, Preston Brust (who form LoCash Cowboys) and Jaren Johnston. Kenny Chesney‘s ‘Reality’ moves to #2, and Chris Young goes to #3 with ‘You.’
Last week’s #1, The Band Perry‘s ‘All Your Life’ falls to #4 while Dierks Bentley remains at #5 with ‘Home.’ Martina McBride gains one spot with ‘I’m Gonna Love You Through It,’ now at #6, and George Strait‘s ‘Love Will Make it All Right’ moves to #7.
Jake Owen‘s ‘Alone with You’ climbs to #8, Taylor Swift‘s ‘Ours’ enters the Top 10 at #9, and Blake Shelton gets to close this week’s party with ‘Drink on It’ at #10.
