Book Recommendation

Winter time is always a time for reading for me and I’d like to recommend a book I recently read. It’s a very interesting and wide-ranging account of the country music industry, not in a dry, boring way but in a very engaging, clear way. The author pulls in a little bit of politics, a bit of marketing, a lot of history and explains the changes in the music, the industry and the audience of country music.
The Selling Sound: The Rise of the Country Music Industry by Diane Pecknold (2008) ISBN 9780822340805
