About the experience still the biggest milestone in any country artist’s career, APA Nashville’s singer/songwriter Corey Smith will celebrate his Grand Ole Opry debut on Saturday, May 18!
The day before on Friday, May 17 the Georgia native will join 650 AM WSM’s Bill Cody at 9:10 a.m. CDT for a live interview and acoustic performance broadcast from the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum’s Ford Theater. Fans can also listen online at www.wsmonline.com.
“I feel like I’m gettin’ above my raising, but it feels good,” commented Smith with a laugh. The Opry makes a big dent in his personal bucket list. “I used to listen to the show with my Grandma. I have always dreamed of performing on the Opry and now that’s a dream that will come true.”
Smith may have to amend his list soon. The talented performer is slaying audiences everywhere with sold-out shows, and fans and critics alike are hailing his onstage energy, insightful songwriting and down-to-earth attitude. In June, Smith returns to the CMA Music Festival where he will perform on the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage. Fans can follow Corey at: Corey, Facebook and Twitter.
