Country star Craig Morgan relied on his EMT training this weekend when his tour bus passed the scene of a serious accident in Tennessee. The press release explains more:
Country music star and Army veteran Craig Morgan put his EMT training to use on Sunday, June 9 when he helped emergency responders attend to a bad accident on Interstate 40 eastbound near Lobelville, Tennessee, just 30 miles outside his hometown of Dickson. Morgan was returning from a recent concert date when, at approximately 11:15am central time Sunday morning, two semis and a tanker collided 1/4 mile in front of their tour bus. Morgan and two members of his crew, Jerry Hines and Joey Greer, ran to the scene to help extinguish flames and care for the drivers.
“Anytime there’s a situation like this, I think it’s important to do what we can to help others,” shared Morgan this morning in an exclusive interview with Fox News.
Having helped save someone myself by administering CPR after an accident, I think it’s extremely important that everyone knows what to do in emergency situations. If you haven’t yet taken a First Aid course, or it’s been a few years, contact your local Red Cross branch and find out about their upcoming classes.
