Dean Dillon will be honored as a BMI Icon at the 2013 BMI Country Awards.
The award is reserved for that distinguished group of songwriters “who have had a unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers.” Dillon will join other songwriting greats such as Tom T. The BMI Country Awards will take place on November 5 and will be hosted by BMI President Del Bryant; BMI Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations, Nashville, Jody Williams; and BMI Assistant Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations, Nashville, Clay Bradley. The evening will honor the Country Songwriter, Song, and Publisher of the Year as well as the writers and publishers 50 most-performed BMI country songs from the last year.
