Dierks Bentley‘s summer party anthem, ‘Am I the Only One,’ has worked its way to the Mediabase Country Singles Chart #1 this week. While I am really thrilled for Bentley, it is a shame that this is achieved with something like this rather than the high-quality material from Up on the Ridge. But that’s corporate radio for you.
Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood‘s collaboration, ‘Remind Me,’ goes to #2 and Lady Antebellum still remain in the Top 3 with ‘Just a Kiss’ at #3.
Luke Bryan holds on to #4 with ‘Country Girl,’ Jake Owen has a Top 5 hit with ‘Barefoot Blue Jean Night’ at #5, and Kenny Chesney with Grace Potter stay at #6 this week.
Zac Brown Band and Jimmy Buffett fall to #7 with ‘Knee Deep.’ Finally, three stationary singles close out the Top 10. All remaining in the same spot are Rodney Atkins (‘Take a Back Road’) at #8, Toby Keith (‘Made in America’) at #9, and Keith Urban (‘Long Hot Summer’) at #10.
Other notable movers further down in the chart are Miranda Lambert‘s ‘Baggage Claim’ at #22, The Band Perry‘s ‘All Your Life’ jumping from #44 to #36, Eric Church‘s leap from #63 to #44 with ‘Drink in My Hand’, and Lady Antebellum‘s new single, ‘We Owned the Night,’ debuts at #48.
