What I responded to someone who thinks Keith Urban is on his way out: “Maybe off subject but if there is any doubt about Keith’s staying power in the music business you should have been in the Cajun Dome (Lafayette, Louisiana) last night for his concert. The man performed & ENTERTAINED for 2 1/2 hours. There was never a quiet dull moment of the whole night. He hit every area of that place & nobody left until he was all done. He covered old stuff, new stuff & some other stuff but he played & sang the HECK out of every song. He interacted with the fans & the fans gave back to him. He deserves to be Entertainer of the Year. I had 2 friends with me & one has seen him twice like I have the other had never seen him in concert. Both of them said it was the BEST concert they had ever been to (one friend has been to a LOT of concerts by artists of different genres). He gives it all during his concerts. It’s not just about him either, it’s about the music. It’s about that little space in time when he connects with those people who have taken time out to come see and hear him perform. It’s like he could have gone on all night and nobody would have left. He interacted SOOOOOOOOO well with Jake Owens. It was really the absolute best concert I’ve been to.

So for those who are counting the days until he disappears I think you may have quite a wait. Who cares who he is married to, who cares if he sings love songs to her on stage (which he did NOT do last night-never mentioned her), who cares if some of his songs cross over to other genres the man has talent that just cannot be described. I know people who went that didn’t even know his songs too well & they enjoyed the HECK out of the concert. Packed house & we were all singing, dancing & on our feet the entire time. Y’all I can’t say enough about this man’s talent. He has something that ONLY can come from a special place. It’s in his blood, it’s in his heart, he feels every note & his fans can tell”
