CMA Fest is the perfect time to discover new talent and on Sunday, June 9 the audience at the Hard Rock Cafe stage was treated to a acoustic set by Average Joes recording artist JJ Lawhorn. By the final day, many fans are getting tired but JJ won them over with his honest, straightforward lyrics and had the crowd dancing and cheering. He introduced them to his songs including ‘Sittin’ on a Tailgate’ and current single ‘Stomping Grounds.’ He even threw in a cover of Brooks & Dunn‘s ‘Hillbilly Deluxe.’ Check out photos and a video below.
JJ is readying the release of his debut album, Original Good Ol’ Boy, due July 16. He worked with respected producer Jeremy Stover and this project is sure to take his career to the next level. For more information and to pre-order the upcoming album, please visit www.jjlawhorn.com.
