One of the big indie-folk success stories of recent years is The Head and The Heart. Signed to Sub Pop Records (yes, the label of Nirvana fame), the six musicians have come a long way from selling their CDs in handmade sleeves.
They closed out the second week of Live on the Green, playing to an estimated 16,000 music fans. Their effortless and smooth sound floated through downtown Nashville, and just for a little while, it seemed like the 1970s were back. Mainly performing tracks from their 2013 debut album, Let’s Be Still, the stunningly beautiful title track was one of the standout moments of the whole evening. Don’t forget to tune in to Lightning 100 to hear the song on the radio. It’ll brighten your day!
Enjoying the atmosphere was photographer Abigail Bobo, and you can enjoy more of her shots below.
