If you are interested in songwriting, you are probably interested in Woody Guthrie. Folk duo Mike + Ruthy are the first artists to record Guthrie’s original 1947 lyrics to ‘My New York City.’ The song appears on the duo’s new six song EP, The NYC EP.
It was also included on the My Name is New York box set released in June by Woody Guthrie Publications. Other contributors to the compilation include Arlo Guthrie, Bob Dylan and Pete Seeger.
