Director Marc Abraham is preparing a new movie about the life, career, and untimely death of early country star Hank Williams. The film will be based on Colin Escott’s biography of the iconic singer and the production has secured the music catalogue via Sony ATV.
British actor Tom Hiddleston has signed on to the project for the lead role, for a surprising and exciting bit of casting news. He will reportedly do his own singing for the movie. Hiddleston is mainly known for his portrayal of Loki in the current Marvel Comics Thor franchise.
Production is scheduled to start in Louisiana in October.
