Who Says Trash Metal Can’t Be Combined with a Fluffy Kitten?

Thrash metal pioneers Slayer and their crew found time for my favorite good deed of all time: saving a kitten!
The band’s guitar player, Kerry King, and crew members went out for dinner the day before the performance in Indianapolis, IN. A homeless man offered the group a kitten in exchange for a dollar. Assistant tour manager Jess Cortese saw the little creature was in bad shape and freezing, so she took the kitten and kept it in her bunk that night.
The next day, the kitten hung out backstage and one of the runners had a friend who wanted a kitten. Now, with her new name Gypsy, she is now in a loving new home with Penny Riley.
