Dakota Bradley is following up his country music debut, ‘Somethin’ Like Somethin’,’ with new single, ‘Wild Child.’
Built on an irresistible R&B groove, ‘Wild Child,’ tells the story of a chance encounter after a party is broken up by the cops. Bradley’s youthful vocal sells every word of the song as he switches between the descriptive verses and the energetic choruses.
Co-written with melody masters Preston Brust and Jaron Boyer, the chorus leans first on the long vowels before utilizing short words and phrases to drive up the rhythm. It’s incredibly effective writing and it’s further aided by a wide-open arrangement, leaving it big and roomy.
While his debut was already a good effort, ‘Wild Child’ is a step up in every way. With plenty of time to grow and develop, Dakota Bradley needs to be on your ‘artists to watch’ list.
