The second of our Rascal Flatts contest winners reports on the experience!
———————————————————————————-

Wow, where to even begin?  Guess I should start with the text from my friend to inform me that I won!  I couldn’t log into my email account fast enough to see it with my own eyes.  Imagine my surprise to learn I would be meeting my favorite band and I could take her with me.  This was the day before we all departed to Lake Tahoe.  We could hardly sleep the night before the show in anticipation of what was to come.

The excitement was building as we anxiously waited for 4:00 on Friday to arrive, that was the time we could pick up the tickets and the meet and greets.  As soon as I received the envelope I ripped it open to find 2nd row seats, that’s right, 2nd row on Jay’s side nonetheless, my friend’s favorite flatt.  Now it was time to rush back to the hotel as we had some serious primping to do.

Fast forward to 5:30 when we arrived back at the venue to the JCPenney hospitality tent.  Rascal Flatts music was playing the entire time…of course.  There were plenty of goodies to eat and drink and the tent was nice and cool.  The staff were friendly and fun.  We received a goody bag with a t-shirt, a poster, and a koozie. Then before we knew it we were being led off to meet the boys!  The line was inching along, and then right there in plain site, were our 3 favorite musical men.  It was our turn, after giving them all hugs and gushing our excitement at being there and expressing our love of their music, the picture was taken and we were off to our seats.

It was our first time seeing their brand new tour and we had no idea what to expect.  As our hearts pounded from the loud boom that started off the show, we could see them descending down the stairs while singing “Bob that Head”, the perfect song to start the perfect night.  About four songs into the show, security let the first couple of rows advance to the stage!  We were right against it for the rest of the night.  Seriously, could the night get any better?  Well it did, and in a big way!  We got multiple hand grabs, loads of interaction, and priceless pictures,  but the icing on the cake was Gary grabbing my friends camera and taking OUR picture from the stage!  As you can see from the picture below, we couldn’t be happier.  We continued to dance and sing our hearts out for the remainder of the magnificent hour and a half show that included 10 years worth of their biggest hits.

This was hands down the BEST show and concert experience of my life!  So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you Urban Country Blog, JCPenney’s, and Rascal Flatts for the weekend of a lifetime!
