Up-and-coming country songstress Colby Dee recently released her debut EP, Missed the Exit. The seven track compilation takes listeners through a complete relationship cycle – from meeting a new love interest to losing them.

Colby Dee was born in Canada, raised in Georgia, and now makes her home in Nashville, where the brunette beauty co-wrote and co-produced her new EP.

‘Good Time in the Air Tonight’ is a feel good tune about being single, having a well deserved girls’ night out, and the exciting possibility of meeting a man who takes your breath away.

‘Shoo Fly’ is one of my favorite tracks. All women can relate to this song about one of those guys. You know, the ones who drop cheesy lines at the bar and think you’re a shoe in for their next romantic victim.

You walked in thinking you were a gift to me. Let me help you get back to reality. Drop your lines and your smile. Save your breath. I ain’t buying what you’re selling, boy, give it a rest. Shoo fly, shoo fly, shoo fly, don’t bother me.

Colby’s biggest success, ‘He Don’t Know,’ is also part of the EP. This upbeat song about a blossoming love affair has been featured as an iTunes New and Noteworthy.

Colby Dee has the voice of an angel. She reminds me of a younger Kristen Kelly. Not only does she have vocal talent, but also, as a writer and a producer, she’s blessed with an ear for music. This may be the first you hear about Colby, but it certainly won’t be the last.
