Billboard got its music critics together to compile their favorite albums and songs of 2014.

How far out of touch I am with much of pop and rap become evident with these year-end lists, and I realize I have never even heard the majority of this music.

The only country product that made the list is Jason Aldean‘s ‘Burnin’ It Down.’ Their explanation? “The song glides with sex appeal…” Really? How old are these critics? 14?
