It was announced today, December 6, 2012, that duo LoCash Cowboys are the newest artists to join the roster at Average Joes Entertainment.

The duo, comprised of Chris Lucas and Preston Brust, has had success both as writers and entertainers in country music. Their introduction to country radio came at the start of 2010 with the fun, upbeat ‘Here Comes Summer.’ Follow-up singles were ‘You Got Me’ and the heartfelt ballad ‘Keep In Mind,’ which at live shows the duo dedicates to Chris Lucas’ late father as well as Ryan “Troop” Jones, who played fiddle for the band, until his passing in October 2011.

In recent months, the guys have had huge success as song writers. Most recently, Top 10 hit and gold certified ‘Truck Yeah,’ which they co-wrote with Danny Myrick and Chris Janson was picked up by Tim McGraw and became the first release off of his new album, Two Lanes of Freedom, his first with Big Machine Records. Prior to that, the guys co-wrote You Gonna Fly with Jaren Johnston of The Cadillac Black, which Keith Urban recorded for his Get Closer album. The song became their first songwriters’ #1 in February of 2012.

At a concert in November, Chris and Preston told fans in attendance, that they were going to be signing a record deal within the next couple weeks, but they could not say with whom at the time. Today we learned the secret!

Average Joes Entertainment, founded in 2008 by Colt Ford, who is the flagship artist, has grown into a powerhouse among “indie” record labels. Artists represented by Average Joes include Josh Gracin, Montgomery Gentry, Ira Dean, Matt Stillwell, JB and the Moonshine Band, and now, LoCash Cowboys!

The first order of business for the guys as new members of the Average Joes family? To debut the music video for their Christmas song ‘What Time Is It? which appears on An Average Joes Muddy Christmas album. The video premieres Friday, December 7 on GAC at 10 am EST.
