During CMA Fest this year, I decided to go chat to country music fans to find out why they support their favorite artists. One of the new artists who has managed to galvanize an extremely vocal and loyal fanbase in a relatively short amount of time is Brantley Gilbert. With lots of fans crowded around the Big Machine booth, I had lots of opportunity to find out why this is. I could see at least one reason myself – at the end of the autograph session, Gilbert simply moved next to the booth and continued signing for fans who were still waiting. No matter what I might think of someone’s music, if they treat their fans right, I will commend them!
