Singer-songwriter Holly Williams will release her third album, The Highway, on February 5, 2013. The album is already receiving critical acclaim and being called her strongest set of songs to date. Following her previous release, Williams toured extensively, and it is from life on the road that she drew inspiration for the new album. On The Highway, she examines her family history (she is the granddaughter of Hank Williams) and its impact on her life; describes the love/hate relationship with the life of a traveling musician; and honestly discusses the need to love and be loved, loss, conflict, and desire. Produced by Charlie Peacock, who worked with The Civil Wars, and featuring guest appearances by Jackson Browne, Jakob Dylan, Dierks Bentley, and Gwyneth Paltrow, this album has very wide appeal
