The Label, the men’s clothing boutique in Nashville’s friendly 12th South neighborhood, welcomed “Master Hatter” Mark Mejia of Baron Hats of Burbank, CA into the store on Thursday evening, May 31, for a very special trunk show. The boutique, located at 2222 12th Ave South is the result of the hard work of respected stylist Renee Layher and country music artist Gary Allan. A good hat is an essential part of any country artist’s wardrobe, and The Label is hooking Nashville up with the world-famous Baron Hats. If you haven’t visited the store yet, I highly recommend doing so.

With over 60 years of service to the entertainment industry, Baron Hats has been the preferred hat maker for screen legends including John Wayne, Fred Astaire, and Frank Sinatra. Their recent clientele includes such stars as Johnny Depp, Robert Di Niro, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Diane Keaton. Major music acts such as Madonna, Prince, Janet and Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan, Black Eyed Peas, Slash, Kid Rock, Snoop Dog, Britney Spears, and Usher have all worn Baron Hats creations at their concerts or award show appearances.
Among the guests admiring and trying on the vast selection of Baron Hats on display at The Label included ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, Show Dog-Universal’s JT Hodges, and numerous names from Music Row and Nashville’s creative industries. Guests saw Mejia practicing his craft first-hand as he steam-cleaned and shaped hats when he was not busy measuring heads for custom-ordered fedoras, top hats, cowboy classics, and more. The Label is the only store in the Southeast to carry Baron Hats.
