Jake Owen had a fantastic summer and he’s topping it off with his first #1 hit as ‘Barefoot Blue Jean Night’ reaches the top of the Mediabase Country Singles Chart. Congratulations to Jake, his label Sony and, above all, to the songwriters Dylan Altman, Terry Sawchuk and Eric Paslay.
Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood drop back to #2 with ‘Remind Me,’ and Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter reach #3 with ‘You and Tequila.’
Rodney Atkins‘ ‘Take a Back Road’ climbs to #4 while Toby Keith stays at #5 with ‘Made in America.’ Keith Urban gains one spot with ‘Long Hot Summer,’ now at #6, and Dierks Bentley drops to #7 with ‘Am I the Only One.’
Rounding out the Top 10 are three climbers: Trace Adkins (‘Just Fishin’) and George Strait (‘Here for a Good Time’) both advance two spots ending at #8 and #9 respectively. Blake Shelton climbs four places to land ‘God Gave Me You’ at #10.
