Jason Aldean made history on Friday Night, July 12th when he became the first country artist to perform at Boston’s historic Fenway Park. When the concert was first announced and tickets went on sale, it only took seven minutes for the show to sell out. This prompted a second show at Fenway to be added to the tour schedule, which will be played tonight, Saturday, July 13th.

Aldean was not the only one to make history, as he had special guests joining him for this historic show. Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett also played Fenway Park last night and again tonight.

About Boston and the show itself, Aldean said:

“Boston is my kinda town. There were fans in the streets partying all day, so they were ready when we hit the stage, and they just never let up…so neither did we! This was a huge night in my career and I think a big night for country music fans too…we were able to write some new history together here in Boston tonight.”
