Jimmy Wayne – Paper Angels – An Artist’s Inspirational Book
13 years ago Liv Carter 3
No stranger to journaling and songwriting, but certainly a self-proclaimed novice as a novelist, Jimmy Wayne’s “Paper Angels” was released on November 1st. Co-written with Travis Thrasher,”Paper Angels” is a fictional story meant to inspire others to help and give back to those who are much less fortunate, many times those are people in our own communities, even our backyards. Growing up very well acquainted with poverty, homelessness, foster care and a recipient of the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program , Jimmy has spent the last couple of years dogmatically raising awareness of the ongoing crisis in our country of homeless youth and those who “age out” of the foster care system. His tireless efforts have birthed Project Meet Me Halfway and his walk halfway across America. The book was actually written during his walk, as he kept connected with Travis through technology.
As the country music industry busily prepares to give props and kudos to one another all week long, here at UCN we feel it is important that the selfless, charitable efforts of this extraordinary artist not get lost in the shuffle. Thank you, Jimmy, for continuing to do what you have set out to do on the behalf of those who don’t have a voice!
