Keith Urban’s ‘You Gonna Fly’ Remains at #1 on Mediabase Chart!!

Now, this, I was not expecting… A year ago, I told Preston Brust and Chris Lucas that if ‘You Gonna Fly,’ which they co-wrote with Jaren Johnston, was released as a single, they’d have a #1 hit. But given the revolving door at the top of the country charts, I didn’t dare predict a multi-week chart topper (as you can tell from my snark last week). I am beyond thrilled for the writers, and for Keith Urban, to see ‘You Gonna Fly’ hang on to the #1 spot on the Mediabase Country Singles Chart. Last year, Preston was cautious when I made my prediction, but now I can say, ‘baby, look at you now‘! Here’s hoping for a 3-week run!
Right, as for the rest of the Top 10 – Kenny Chesney stays at #2 with ‘Reality,’ and Dierks Bentley moves up one spot at #3 with ‘Home.’ Martina McBride‘s ‘I’m Gonna Love You Through It’ reaches #4, The Band Perry goes to #5 with ‘All Your Life,’ and George Strait sits at #6 with ‘Love’s Gonna Make it All Right.’
Jake Owen gains a place with ‘Alone with You’ now at #7, Taylor Swift‘s ‘Ours’ takes #8, Blake Shelton‘s ‘Drink on It’ climbs to #9 and Lady Antebellum closes out the chart with ‘Dancin’ Away with My Heart’ in at #10.
