Live from CMA Fest 2012: Casey James
13 years ago Liv Carter 6
One of the best things about CMA Fest is being able to finally catch performances from artists long on my to-see list. Casey James has been near the top of that list for some time now, and his performance on the Riverfront stage on Saturday, June 9, was a great introduction to his live show.
Having never seen (with no intention to change that) an episode of American Idol, James was new to me at the time of the release of debut single ‘Let’s Don’t Call it a Night.’ His self-titled debut album houses some wonderful bluesy country rock and the vibe of that record was brought alive on stage on Saturday. The impressive set included new single ‘Crying on a Suitcase,’ and spectacular guitar work.
Add Casey James to your list of artists to see before the year is out. Stellar stuff!
