Live updates from the 2012 ICM Awards show.

7.00pm – The Roys retain their title as Inspirational Bluegrass Artist of the Year! Huge congratulations guys!!

7.05pm – The Roys also got to kick off the show with a great performance of the title track of their current album, ‘New Day Dawning.’

7.15 pm – The Faith, Family & Country movie of the year is ‘Joyful Noise’.

7.28pm – Duo Branded pick up the Vocal Duo of the Year award!

7.30 pm – And the winner of Vocal Group of the Year is….. *drum roll*

7.32 pm – Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver pick up the award.

7.35 pm – Crawford Crossing takes the stage. Sounding good!

7.46 pm – Video of the Year Award goes to ‘Love’s Gotta Go Somewhere’ by Steve Richard

7.57 pm – the highly-valued Musician of the Year award is for Greg McDougal.

7.58 pm – McDougal has his entire family join him on stage as he accepts his award. Love that!

8.10 pm – Backstage, trying to keep up with everything that’s going on… Good thing I still have coffee!

8.14 pm – Chuck Day is entertaining the crowd and doing a good job of it.

8.20 pm – New Artist of the Year: Larissa!

8.24 pm – DJ Miller making a wonderful award show debut with ‘Between Sundays’.

8.27 pm – Well-deserved standing ovation for Living Legend Award recipient Johnny Lee Cook!! Wonderful acceptance speech too, I think pretty much everyone is blinking away tears. Truly inspirational!!

8.36 pm – Down to the big awards now. Next up Female Vocalist of the Year!

8.36 pm – Laura Dodd’s amazing voice wins her the award.

8.38 pm – Male Vocalist of the Year goes to….Chuck Hancock!

8.42 pm – Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver are sounding fantastic!

8.49 pm – Music Evangelist of the Year is Tommy Brandt.

8.53 pm – ‘Jesus Is Enough’ by Russ Murphy wins Inspirational Song of the Year! He wrote it for his sister just before she passed away. Talk about inspirational…

8.54 pm – Andy Griggs is playing a song written by his late brother, ‘Me on His Mind.’ Wow.

9.04 pm – There is so much great music being played here. Right now on stage, Mac Powell, with a song from his solo country debut CD, ‘Carry You.’ Just perfect.

9.19 pm – The time has come… Entertainer of the Year….

9.20 pm – …and the winner is Chuck Day!
