peermusic Nashville’s staff writer Neil Thrasher is rounding out a great year two Song of the Year nominations at the 2012 American Country Awards for two Jason Aldean cuts.

‘Fly Over States,’ written with Michael Dulaney, and for me one of the best Aldean singles, and ‘Tattoos on This Town,’ penned with Michael Dulaney and Wendell Mobley, are both contenders for Song of the Year. In addition, ‘Tattoos,’ is also up for Single of the Year, and Single of the Year: Male. Further, Rascal Flatts hit ‘Banjo,’ co-written by Thrasher, with Wendell Mobley and Tony Martin, has been nominated for Single of the Year: Group.

There was more to celebrate at peermusic Nashville as the company’s Creative Director, and award-winning producer, Michael Knox, has produced three ACA nominated songs: Jason Aldean’s ‘Fly Over States’ and ‘Tattoos On This Town,’ and Trace Adkins‘Just Fishin’,’ which are contenders for Song of the Year.

The American Country Awards will be held on Monday, December 10th in Las Vegas, NV at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. The broadcast will air live on FOX at 8:00 pm ET / 7:00 pm CT.
