There will have been a lot of smiling face in the Rounder Records offices today. Last night, the label’s artists did very well garnering a multitude of IBMA Awards nominations.

The round-up is in the press release:

Rounder Records is pleased to announce numerous nominations for its artists by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) for the 23rd Annual IBMA awards. The awards show will take place in Nashville at the historic Ryman Auditorium on Thursday, September 27 at 7:30 PM CST.

Rounder recording artists earned multiple nominations with Alison Krauss & Union Station leading the way with 8 nominations including Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year for Paper Airplane. Also nominated for Album of the Year is Blue Highway’s Sounds of Home – the band received 5 additional nominations including Vocal Group of the Year and Instrumental Group of the Year. Additionally, both bands picked up nominations for Song of the Year: Alison Krauss & Union Station for “Dust Bowl Children” and Blue Highway for “Sounds of Home.” All nominations are listed below.
