Following the top 5 success of ‘She Won’t Be Lonely’, Clay Walker releases new single ‘Where Do I Go From You’.
Infused with a lovely neo-traditional production, the song has the protagonist wondering how to get over a failed relationship while seemingly blaming himself for its demise (‘I said what I said and you did what you had to do’). Still, there is self-blame here rather than self-pity when he shows he understands that there is nowhere to run when you know you will just be taking your thoughts and emotions with you (‘what do I do with all the pieces of you in me’).
With radio making a slight shift to more traditional material again, a grown-up break-up song such as this should do well.
