In the midst of what has been another big year for The Band Perry, the trio got to entertain 25,000 fans at the NY State Fair in Syracuse last weekend. The group also received a CMA Awards nomination for Vocal group of the Year, and is spending this weekend in the UK performing for a BBC show. When they return, Kimberly, Neil, and Reid will re-join Brad Paisley‘s Virtual Reality Tour and continue work on their upcoming album with producer Rick Rubin.

The press release continues the update:

Republic Nashville recording group, The Band Perry, has earned a nomination for Vocal Group of the Year at the upcoming 2012 Country Music Awards, which will air on ABC November 1 at 8pm ET. Just last year, The Band Perry was named New Artist of the Year and was honored with both Single and Song of the Year for their quadruple-platinum, #1 smash, “If I Die Young.”

“It is an honor for us to be nominated in the CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” category. We don’t take anything for granted. We always strive to work hard and do our best. Country Music is the peoples’ music, we are humbled to have the opportunity to play it,” says The Band Perry.

The sibling trio has been busy this summer, playing sold-out venues as special guests on Brad Paisley’s tour and as headliners in their own right. On Sunday night (9/2), the band performed to a packed arena at the New York State Fair in Syracuse. The 25,000+ fans who packed into the venue to see The Band Perry helped establish the fair’s high attendance of more than 103,000. In the midst of touring and trying out new music for their fans, The Band Perry has also been recording for their sophomore album with renowned producer Rick Rubin.

The band will travel to the UK for a show for the BBC this weekend (9/9) before reuniting with Brad Paisley’s VIRTUAL REALITY TOUR next week.

UPCOMING DATES:
9/13 Virginia Beach, VA – Farm Bureau Live
9/14 Charlotte, NC – Verizon Wireless Amph.
9/15 Atlanta, GA – Lakewood Amph.

On September 17, Kimberly – along with brothers Reid and Neil – will co-host “CMA Music Fest: Country’s Night to Rock” with Luke Bryan. The special will air on ABC at 8pm ET/7pm CT and highlights the 2012 CMA Music Festival concerts and activities. The Band Perry will have a spotlight feature as ABC cameras followed them around for a “day in the life of The Band Perry.” For more about the special click here.
