Whatever your stance on country-rap may be (it’s totally growing on me, by the way), there is no denying that its creators are meeting a demand. Average Joes duo The LACS demonstrate this through the success of their recently released third studio album, Keep It Redneck.

After impressive first week sales, the disc debuts at #3 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart, #5 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums Chart, #7 on the Top Indie Chart and #23 on The Billboard 200 Albums Chart. All this while their previous offering, 190 Proof, remains in the Top 50 after 73 consecutive weeks.

One of the reasons for their success is the duo’s Brian King and Clay Sharpe’s effort into building a solid relationship with their fans, by way of more than 150 tour dates a year, and another is the clever approach by Average Joes Entertainment. As a truly independent label they now have six albums in the Top 75 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart.

“We take pride in developing our acts from the ground up in a very non-traditional way,” says Shannon Houchins, CEO of Average Joes Entertainment. “To wake up to the news that The LACS debuted at #3 this morning was exciting. We’re challenging the status quo on every level and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon!”
