Americana quintet The Wallflowers have been added to the Americana Music Association Festival Lineup, by way of headlining the Thursday, September 13 show of the Live on the Green free concert series.

You can find out more from the press release:

In partnership with Nashville’s Live On The Green, The Americana Music Festival & Conference adds a free outdoor showcase to the lineup. The Wallflowers will headline Thursday, September 13 with Delta Spirit and The Dunwells opening. The concert is part of Live On the Green’s free, public concert series held at Public Square Park in front of the Metro Courthouse.

The Wallflowers are touring this summer, previewing material from their long-awaited new studio album to be released by Columbia Records this fall. Recorded in Nashville, the new album finds front man Jakob Dylan joining original band members Greg Richling (bass) and Rami Jaffee (keyboards), with Wallflowers’ longtime guitarist Stuart Mathis and drummer Jack Irons (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam) rounding out the lineup.

In addition to The Wallflowers, Live On the Green’s fourth season includes a variety of local and national acts from multiple genres. The six-week concert series, which is presented by Lightning 100 in partnership with the Nashville Mayor’s Office, will take place Thursday nights beginning Sept 6 through October.
