It will not be a surprise to anyone who has been keeping an eye on country music over the past few months to learn that the biggest selling artists, by a very large margin, are Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan, as seen in the Billboard charts below. While they represent a genre of music I have come to not-quite-affectionately refer to as ‘dudebro country,’ their respective record labels and radio promo teams have seemingly found the way to turn that into cash. Also quite depressing is the fact that over half a million people thought highly enough of Tyler Farr‘s stalker and harasser anthem, ‘Redneck Crazy,’ to buy it.
