Mary Chapin Carpenter is offering her fans the chance to be featured in her new music video for ‘Soul Companion.’  The song, taken from her new album, Ashes and Roses, is a beautiful duet with James Taylor.

To make it into the video, you can submit a photo of yourself and whomever or whatever you consider your “soul companion” to be – a person, your pet, your favorite guitar,… The deadline is 11:59pm EST on Friday, July 20, 2012.

To submit a photo to the Soul Companion contest, choose one of the following options:

• Upload your photo via Instagram and adding the hashtag #mccsoulcompanion
• E-mail your photo to mcc@redlightmanagement.com using the subject line ‘Mary Chapin Soul Companion’. Make sure your picture is under 4MB and is rotated properly.

All photos submitted via Instagram will appear on the contest’s Facebook Tab here and both sets of submissions will be added to the Soul Companion Facebook Photo Album here.

Mary Chapin Carpenter and/or her management team will pick the photos to be featured in the video. Please do not submit videos, and do not submit a photo via both Instagram and e-mail.
