The Americana Music Association has announced the first round of performers for the upcoming Americana Music Festival & Conference and it’s a very impressive list! It includes John Hiatt, Rodney Crowell, Billy Joe Shaver, Punch Brothers and Brandi Carlile.

Americana heavyweights, innovators, icons and up and comers will showcase in Nashville venues during the 13th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference, presented by Nissan, September 12 through September 15. Highlights in this first round of announcements include: Billy Joe Shaver, Punch Brothers, Brandi Carlile, Richard Thompson, Sara Watkins, The Deep Dark Woods, Shovels & Rope, John Hiatt, Eilen Jewell, Rodney Crowell, honeyhoney, and John Fullbright. (For a list of artists confirmed as of today see below). Additional artists and surprising new events for the festival will be announced in the near future.

Additionally, the conference will kickoff at the Sheraton Nashville Downtown Hotel on Wednesday September 12 with a series of panels and workshops and the Keynote Interview with Bonnie Raitt. The conference is designed to educate, discuss, advance and inspire everyone interested in the genre from industry professionals to artists to newcomers.

Live music will take center stage opening night with the 11th Annual Americana Honors and Awards ceremony at the historic Ryman Auditorium. This year’s program, described by Paste Magazine as “the best awards show in the world,” will honor Bonnie Raitt, Booker T. Jones, Richard Thompson and many more.

Each evening from September 12-15, the Americana Music Association produces the festival portion of the event, which brings more than 100 acts to clubs throughout Music City. The festival is open to conference registrants, who get priority admission, and to the general public. Last year more than 12,000 fans enjoyed the festival’s musical events.

Music industry professionals and those interested in the business of great music can purchase Festival and Conference Registrations at the reduced rate of $350 for Americana Music Association members and $450 for non-members. Registrants receive entrance to all sanctioned daytime conference music, panels and parties, plus priority access to all evening showcase performances. The registration also includes a ticket to the critically acclaimed 11th annual Americana Honors & Awards Wednesday, September 12 at the Ryman Auditorium.
