I’m betting that a lot of country music fans made sure to stop at their local music retailer on Tuesday at some point, either that, or they went straight to iTunes, possible at Midnight, to download the latest album from Luke Bryan. I did make a point to look for it on Tuesday afternoon, but it was not on the shelf yet, but it is on my list of new music to purchase.

Luke Bryan’s highly anticipated fourth studio album, Crash My Party hit stores this past Tuesday, August 13, with the full album available for download on iTunes and an exclusive disc available at Target which had four bonus tracks. The single and title cut, “Crash My Party”, was a multi-week No. 1 single. Full of playful longing and described by Bryan as “a great way to say, ‘come love me'”, the single has now sold a million copies since its release.

Luke also had this to say about the full album:

“I decided Crash My Party was perfect for this album because like the song, the album goes beyond the literal meaning of the title. The song isn’t what you think it is, it is unexpected, and I think in the same way fans will definitely hear some surprises on my new album. It still reflects my sound but you will get to hear a little bit deeper, different side to me musically as well.”

Tuesday was also the day that another album that Luke is a part of went live on iTunes for digital pre-order. Alabama & Friends the new tribute album honoring the country super group, Alabama, on which Luke pays tribute by doing his own version of ‘Love In The First Degree’, went live on Tuesday for digital pre-orders. You can pre-order your digital copy here http://smarturl.it/alabamaitunes. The official release date of the tribute album is August 27th.
