Nashville Writer Patrick Davis Releases Songwriter’s Album, The Cuts – Volume One

12 years ago Liv Carter Comments Off on Nashville Writer Patrick Davis Releases Songwriter’s Album, The Cuts – Volume One

If you are in the privileged position of getting to see songwriters perform their own compositions, you know that, as good as the artist’s version may be, there is something special about hearing the creator’s own interpretation. Over the last decade, songwriter Patrick Davis has been building a strong catalogue of songs and has landed cuts with Darius Rucker, Lady Antebellum, Jewel, Josh Kelley, Pat Green, Jason Michael Carroll and Casey James.

10 years in and currently writing for EMI Nashville, Davis is releasing The Cuts – Volume One, a 6-track record with some of his hits. The disc will be available on iTunes and www.PatrickDavisMusic.com on Friday, July 20th. Davis is the co-writer of one of my favorite songs, ‘Dixie Lullaby’ by Pat Green, which I am happy to see made the album.

“As a songwriter, I’ve literally written & co-written hundreds & hundreds of songs and a select few of those have made it onto artists’ albums and some even to the radio,” says Davis. “It’s an incredible gift having songs I write cut by so many talented artist and I wanted to pay tribute to a few of those tunes and maybe even show a different side to them. Releasing this studio album is perfect way to do just that.”
