Single Review: ‘Any Day Is A Good Day’ – Amber Hayes

Amber Hayes has released her single ‘Any Day Is A Good Day’ to country radio. The single is the first release from her new album of the same name.
On first listen to this song, my first reaction is, “WOW”! What a great song. I absolutely love the message of optimism, reminding us to be thankful for every day we are given.
‘took a walk outside/and I heard the bluebird singing/that tiny little miracle/oh it got me to thinkin’/ as I watched him fly away/it’s a good day‘
As you listen to the lyrics of this song you may think to yourself, well, it’s easy to be optimistic when you have everything that you need or want. But the chorus, which plays: ‘may not ever make a million/that don’t worry me a bit/cause when the sun came up this morning/was enough to put a smile on my face/it’s a good day/oh any day is a good day’ shows you that the writers are coming from the same places that you and I are. They do not have everything, but they have enough to be happy. Then they drop the bombshell on you, and if you are anything like me, you’ll tear up when you hear why the singer is happy and declaring that any day is a good day. I do not want to ruin the song for those who are interested in hearing it, but I will say that this, in my opinion, is a well-written, simple song of optimism.
